Registered Nurse- Acute Community Care

The Role:

We are currently seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join our Acute Care at Home team, as a casual, servicing the Parramatta and surrounding areas. This is a rewarding opportunity for nurses who enjoy working autonomously while delivering high-quality, patient-centred care in the community setting.

To be considered for this role, applicants must have a minimum of three years’ recent experience working in a medical/surgical ward, emergency department, or intensive care unit. Confidence in independent practice is essential, as the role involves travelling to patients’ homes to provide care.

You will work closely alongside major public and private hospitals to support patients with early discharge, hospital substitution programs, post-acute care, and ambulatory infusion services. To succeed in this position, you will bring strong consolidated nursing and problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, a commitment to patient advocacy, and well-developed organisational skills.

To be part of this exciting program you must be:

• Registered Nurse with consolidated skill set including chronic & post-operative wound care, IV infusion, venepuncture, experience and the like
• Outstanding IV cannulation/venepuncture skills, PICC & PORT management
• Current National Police Clearance (or be willing to obtain one)
• Current Drivers' Licence and your own reliable car fully insured, as well as your own computer/tablet, printer & phone
